Today I Sing the Healing Prayer, Mi Shebeirach

Update: My cousin is out of surgery and recovering. Thank you all who had him in your thoughts.

And I’m asking you to join me. A close relative of mine had an Aortic Aneurysm yesterday and was in surgery all night. I’ve been singing the Jewish prayer for healing, Mi Shebeirach , and believe in the power of global prayer. Any extra prayers for this young, vibrant, inspirational, spiritual leader would be appreciated.

According to JewishHealing.com prayer is an essential tool for healing.

Here’s a link the prayer I have been sing, which also happens to be one of my favorite Hebrew songs: Mi Shebeirach

Here are the lyrics by Debbie Friedman (some are in Hebrew)…

Mi shebeirach avoteinu
M’kor habracha l’imoteinu

May the source of strength who blessed the ones before us,
Help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing

And let us say: Amen.

Mi shebeirach imoteinu
M’kor habracha l’avoteinu

Bless those in need of healing with refuah sh’leimah*
The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit

And let us say: Amen.

*Refuah Sh’leimah means a complete recovery for all that are sick and ailing.

Aortic Aneurysm? Did it rupture? I hope your close relative will be fine. Give our regards to him/her and may he/she get well soon. My gratitude for sharing us with that prayer. I could try to sing that one using the link you have given to us. It’s a useful prayer/song in case we will be needing it. Just have faith. :)
