Celebrating the Choice to Embrace My Authentic Voice

In honor of doing more things badly and focusing on life balance, I welcome you to read my very first post on CreateaBalance.com. After reading my very first post earlier this week, I noticed that I can hear my authentic voice shining through the words and was also able to see how my blog has grown since my first baby step. Today I’m looking back and celebrating my first steps.

Celebrating New Members of this Community

Every Friday I’m introducing and celebrating new members of the Create a Balance community. Please take a moment to welcome this week’s new members…..

Celebrating My Gratitude Attitude

I am keeping a weekly online gratitude journal. Every day I write down one thing that I am grateful for and I post my gratitude attitude every Friday.

1. Healthy fresh food
2. The gift of celebrating life (birthdays)
3. Living my dream
4. My warm nurturing bed
5. Bright orange gerber daisies
6. Weight Watcher meetings
7. Clean Kleenex

I welcome you to reflect on your week,
see the goodness in your life, and
share what you are grateful for in the comments section.

This is your moment to celebrate!

Welcome new members of the Create a Balance community.

    Welcome new members!

  • Welcome aboard Tess, Jewel, Juliet, Cyndi, and Paunchiness!

I’m grateful for the catalysts in my life — the people that lift me up when I’m down, and inspire me to become something more.

I celebrate my life by living it. Waste not, want not. My favorite saying is life is not a spectator’s sport.

  • Hi Stacey – I read your first post and the part that resonated with me was, “…share lessons learned so other women can benefit from having a shorter learning curve.”. You’re doing exactly that and are doing a fabulous job of it.

I’m grateful for the wonderful blogging friends I’ve made, and continue to make. It’s you and them who keep me inspired to write, share and learn.

Like you and Carla, I also say “welcome” to the new members of your blog. They’re in great hands.

  • Hi again Stacey – I forgot to say I’m grateful you were a guest writer on my blog and wrote “Do More Things Badly”. Just as those who read it learned, so did I. Thanks again.

  • Stacey,
I’m grateful for online friends like you, and for the reminder to be grateful to even the smallest thing on every Friday! Priceless…

  • I’m grateful for my faith, my family, my work, my health, my aging parents and their caretakers, my car that runs, gasoline, my home, my clothes, my family’s employment, I could go on and on but I’ll stop. I’ve kept gratitude journals for over 5 years. My cup runneth over!

Oh gerbera daisies are my favorite!

  • Thanks, Stacey for the nice welcome 🙂

*orange gerbera daisies* Yes! I love that thought, especially since it’s so improbable for me to see them this time of year.

    I am grateful for
    good health
    my family
    love
    laughter
    hippos
    and
    good books!

  • This week was a busy one and many wonderful things happened. I’m always thankful for my health, my family and my support system.

But I must admit that this week I’m going to be selfish when I say I am thankful that on Sunday my husband and I leave for 5 days in sunny Jamaica. R&R here I come!

  • Hi Stacey: I’m grateful for my two little nephews and my niece, for the view of the Bay of Panama that I have from my window, for my Santa Clause coffee mug that makes me smile every time I see it, and for a web site on funny signs that I found yesterday that made me laugh until I almost cried 🙂

  • Jennifer

I am grateful for my students today who made me giggle and giggle and giggle right along with them . . . even at a few times when I didn’t really WANT to giggle!

  • Hey Stacey!
I have so much to be grateful for in my life! First, we’re celebrating two birthdays at our house this week – so I’m grateful for these gifts of life we celebrate. Second, I’m choosing to celebrate the wintry season we’re having so far – tomorrow we’re having a sledding party in our backyard! Third, I was able to spend the whole day today with my wife – just the two of us. A very wonderful day in the midst of all the craziness going on. And fourth, I’m grateful for a very special relationship I’m developing with person who is really helping me to envision what the future holds – and it’s an exciting experience as we work through what IS possible!

I love your list Stacey, especially #7 – that one’s great!!!

  • Everyone – I’m too tired to reply to each of you tonight, but want to say thank you for sharing. Gratitude is abundant!

  • Hi Stacey. Gratitude this week? My warm bed. A sense of humour. My boyfriend and his parents. The snow today. The glass of red wine that I had with dinner.

Hope you get the sleep you need 🙂

Hi Stacy! I am grateful for going to see my son’s friend’s band play tonight. It was fun! I am also grateful it was at my friend’s new Performing Arts Venue. Great Post Stacy!

  • Diane

    Thanks you are an inspiration!

  • Thanks Stacey! Hope your weekend was wonderful! 🙂

  • Hi

Thanks you for the welcome. And I’m glad you stopped by my web-abode 😉

For me, gratitude for the frogs!
We went away this weekend to the bush and there were hundreds of little frogs. Frogs are one of the first creatures to disappear when the environment is threatened. It was such a beautiful place where we went, that I couldn’t bear to think of all of that habitat being wiped out by our human ways.

  • Comment totally irrelevant to this post.

If you really talked to Oprah, we need to chat. Like, give me her cell number. Or tell me where she hangs out. I’ve been Chuck’s featured blog for like 6 hours now. Have you told Oprah about my book yet? Why the hell not?

  • Everyone Again – I apologize for the mass comment. Thank you all, again, for sharing your celebrations with me.

  • I’m a regular on the world-wide-web but I seldom find such a amazing internet site. Genuinely excellent, I do hope you maintain the good work.

  • Guys who of you play Pokemon GO? Amazing game, finally Cubone has been caught using pokebusterbot.

With this bot you can catch pokemons on autopilot!
